WELCOME TO CENTRE OF QURANIC RESEARCH (CQR)
Assalamu’alaikum wbt and a very well welcome wish to all.
All praise is due to Allah, the Creator and Sustainer of this whole universe, the Most Beneficent and the Most Merciful, for His guidance and blessing, our centre of Quranic Research has been successfully established. Centre of Quranic Research (CQR) will be the first kind of Quranic & Islamic research centre in Malaysia, which has been established in early year of 2010 by the oldest university in Malaysia, known as University of Malaya. University of Malaya, through Centre of Quranic Research (CQR) will take a step forward to become a consultant, focus on Quranic research fields. This centre is mainly focus to provide the best services for the Quranic and Islamic studies excellencies, as well as to publish and bring out the greatness of sciences or studies in Al-Quran, due to contribute towards the glory of Quran and Islam specifically.
CQR intend to promote and sustain a vital research in Quranic studies and Islamic research, as well as to explore any kind of research (Scientific research/education/heritage etc.), which can relate to Quranic and Islamic research. Furthermore, in this new technological era, the different approach in learning and teaching Al-Quran need to carried out, due to serve the Holy Quran and its interpretation by all the available means. Thus, efforts towards Islamic da’wah must be continued by spreading the words of Allah (Al-Quran) and its sciences using the modern techniques and modern technology, purposely in creating knowledgeable Muslim community. Scope of research under this centre could be varies, due to invite and encourage an active community of academician, researchers, scholars and expertise to work altogether (collaborate) by promoting co-operation and discussion within the field or cross the interdisciplinary fields. This effort is in line towards University Malaya’s aspiration, as to be ‘Leader in Research & Innovation’.
Thus, everyone is encouraged to join with us, in which allow more researchers and creativity to get involved, due to expand our research in Quranic and Islamic research with current trend of technology. With best wishes to all of you. Thank you.
